1. What is Vitamin C Natural?

Vitamin C Natural is a product with an original formula; it is a combination of forest fruits, honey and propolis which acts synergistically for the benefit of human health. Natural vitamins are concentrated nutrients obtained from natural sources. The forest fruits contain a large amount of vitamin C as well as anthocyanidins and flavonoids, which increase the bioavailability of the product.

2. What are the ingredients of Vitamin C Natural?

Vitamin C Natural is a food supplement in the form of fruit powder. The ingredients of Vitamin C Natural are the following: blackcurrant – Ribes nigrum; rosehip fruits – Rosa canina; raspberries – Rubus idaeus; sea-buckthorn – Hippophae rhamnoides; blueberries – Vaccinium myrtillus; blackberries – Rubus fruticosus; wild strawberries – Fragaria vesca; honey powder and propolis 10%, natural maltodextrin (which is a support for honey and propolis).
The blueberries listed as ingredients of this product are - in fact - food and medicines at the same time, as they represent the most powerful source of antioxidants existing in nature.

  • The blackcurrant are also called the queens of berries because of their high content of antioxidants. Recent research has proven that the blackcurrant may improve visual acuity and the regulation of the anti-inflammatory response of the body.
  • Rosehip fruits, known and used since Antiquity, hold certain records among the other fruits: they contain 4-16 times more Vitamin C compared with citrus fruits; as to the quantity of Vitamin A, they are unparalleled as they exceed peaches by a factor of 2, currants by a factor of 10 and apples by a factor of 20. Research in progress is attempting to define the property of sweetbriar fruits in reducing the incidence of cancer and in stopping the development of carcinogenic cells.
  • Raspberries contain powerful antioxidants (Vitamin C, quercetin, gallic acid) that provide protection against cancer, cardiovascular diseases and the effects of ageing. They contain ellagic acid - an antineoplastic and anti-inflammatory substance. Raspberries have an antioxidant capacity (ORAC) of 24 micromoles/TE/g (as good as that of currants) and are well-known for their antioxidant properties.
  • Sea-buckthorn fruits are genuine natural poly-vitamins. The concentration of Vitamin C in white sea-buckthorn fruits is 100-300 mg/100 g, greater than in the case of strawberries, kiwi, oranges, tomatoes and carrots. The content of Vitamin E in bayberries is 202,9 mg/100 g, greater than in the case of saffron, corn and soy.
  • Blueberries are useful for the memory and brain functioning; they protect the cardiovascular system and improve vision and the anti-inflammatory response of the human body. Blueberries are particularly rich in anthocyanidins and flavonoids, thus having notable antioxidant properties. Anthocyanidins are substances which confer the blue colour in these fruits; they have turned out to be very useful, as they prevent early ageing, stimulate immunity and maintain health in general.
  • Blackberries are fruits containing a high amount of antioxidants. They are rich in Vitamin C and bulk, and they lower the risk of some types of cancer. As they have a low caloric content, they are useful for those who want to lose weight.
  • Wild strawberries have anti-diarrheal and diuretic action, as they help in the elimination of the uric acid and of the urates. The therapeutic properties of wild strawberries are the result of the high content of Vitamin C, phosphorus, iron, tannins, flavonoids and volatile oils.
  • Honey contains about 600 compounds, which are more or less different according to the types of flowers and the species of bees. It is produced through the digestion and regurgitation of the nectar, a process carried out by the bees. As it contains vitamins and minerals, honey is a precious substance, recommended in order to regain energy, to improve digestion and to stimulate the natural detoxification functions of the body. Honey, as well as other types of syrups rich in sugar, can stop microbe development.
  • Propolis is used by bees as protection against microbes and mould, due to its bactericide and antimycotic properties. Thanks to its content, propolis is similar to a natural antibiotic. Vitamin C Natural contains fruits dried by lyophilization; due to this process, one can preserve the properties of fresh fruits. In order to obtain a kilogram of lyophilized fruits, one uses 8-10 kilograms of fresh fruits.

The advantage of lyophilization compared to other drying methods is that it allows the preservation in an unaltered state of the flavour, vitamins, enzymes and other thermo-degradable compounds; at the same time, through this process the content of the bulk is preserved unmodified, unlike the juice made out of fruits dried through atomization which, even if they contain vitamins and enzymes, do not have an insoluble bulk, as the bulk is separated before the drying process.
The concentration of active principles (Vitamin C, anthocyanosides, bioflavonoids, etc.) is 5-6 times greater, depending upon the lyophilized fruits, which have a content of water of 3-6%, compared with fresh fruits – which contain 85-88% water.
Recent research (2011, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, a study on the lyophilization of certain exotic fruits) has proven that this method of fruit concentration and preservation also has the advantage of increasing the bioavailability of fruit antioxidants, as well as of maintaining the natural content of polyphenols (which are, more often, harmed by the processing of fruits that takes place after the harvest proper - e.g., drying, chopping, packaging, etc.). Moreover, according to this study, the process of lyophilization prevents the development of microbes.

5. Mode of administration

Usual doses:
Children: 3-7 years: 5 g (half a dosing spoon), 1-2 times/day.
Children over 7 years and adults: 10 g (one dosing spoon), 1-2 times/day.
The jar contains a dosing spoon. A full dosing spoon contains 10 g of the product.

The product should be administered mixed with fermented dairy (yoghurt, cultured milk), hot tea, fruit juice or water. The product can be taken as is or sweetened with honey or sugar.

For a better tolerance, the product should be administered after meals. Shake the jar before use!

The product is not addictive and can be used over the long-term as a Vitamin C supplement.

Packaging: Jar of 100 g. Each jar contains 10 doses of 10 grams.

Precautions/contraindications:

Storage conditions:
